BACOLOD City – Two buy-bust operations yielded an estimated P850,000 worth of illegal drugs here and in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental over the weekend.

The Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-6 conducted a drug bust at Barangay Bata here last Saturday which resulted in the confiscation of 110 grams of suspected shabu worth P748,000.

Police also nabbed Mark John Tanique, 32, and Rodel Vasques, 25, both residents of Barangay Zone 5 Talisay City, and Dave Dumip-ig, 18, of Barangay 10 here.

Tanique and Vasques are believed to be “high value” drug individuals while Dumip-ig is an alleged street level dealer, according to the police.

The three suspects reportedly conspired to sell two sachets of suspected shabu to a police agent for P28,500, police records showed.

Meanwhile, seven persons were arrested while an alleged drug den was dismantled by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental at Barangay 6, San Carlos City last Saturday.

The operation resulted in the arrest of alleged drug maintainer Erech Ernesto Cruz, and six others, PDEA reported.

About 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, improvised tooters, glass tooter, a pair of scissors and lighters were seized.
