BACOLOD City – An estimated P492,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from three persons in separate buy-bust operations in two municipalities in Negros Occidental in the past three days.

In Moises Padilla town, Jayvee Dingcoy, 30, and Jioseen Vinson, 33, both residents of Barangay 7 Poblacion, were arrested in a boarding house in the said village last Friday. Dingcoy and Vinson are the top 1 and 2 target-listed personalities in Moises Padilla town, respectively.

Police confiscated from them 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000, the P1,000 marked money, and two short firearms believed to be a revolver-type caliber subject for verification.

Police Major Randy Babor, town police chief, said it was the biggest drug haul so far in the town.

Babor said the suspects were probably complacent since all 15 barangays in the town were declared drug cleared.

According to the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) that led the operation, Dingcoy and Vinson were considered big drug personalities in the town.

The following day, Bimbo Las Piñas, 48, of Barangay San Pablo, a street-level individual, was also busted by police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental in the said village in Manapla town.

Recovered from Las Piñas were 12 grams of suspected shabu worth P84,000, and the P500 marked money.

According to PDEA, they received a report through the “Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins!” hotline, regarding Las Piñas alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

Las Piñas is also under the town’s drugs watchlist, according to the police.
