BACOLOD City – Police are looking into the same perpetrators behind the robbery incidents in Barangay Hilamonan last month and at Sitio Patay, Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Reymund Cruz, city police chief, said they already have a person of interest in the incident, but they are still verifying some information.

The recent incident victimized a 27-year-old man who was allegedly threatened at gunpoint by one of the four unidentified robbers.

Based on the investigation, the victim and his live-in partner were sitting outside their house when two of the four robbers armed with an alleged .38 caliber and .45 caliber firearms instructed them to go inside their house and tell them where the money was placed.

The robbers then allegedly carted away P400,000 and a cellular phone and left them unharmed.

Cruz said the victim has a livestock business, thus the big amount of money they had during the robbery.

Cruz said they are probing the modus of the suspects if it’s similar to the previous incidents in the city.

“Tinitingnan pa namin iyong modus,” he added.

It can be recalled that another robbery hold-up incident also happened in Barangay Camingawan in the city early this month.
