P306,680 worth of ‘shabu’ seized in two days

BACOLOD City – Eight persons were arrested while P306,680 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental from Nov. 7 to 8, 2022.

In E.B. Magalona town, a man was arrested in Barangay 2 Poblacion last Monday following the confiscation of 1.9 grams of suspected shabu worth P12,920.

On the same day, another person was busted in the neighboring city of Silay with the recovery of 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,800 in Barangay 5.

The following day, the top 1 on the priority target list of illegal drugs in Silay City and her alleged drug runner were arrested in Barangay Mambulac.

The subject was identified as Celeste Gulmatico, 39, while her companion was identified as Wynn Aguilar, 48, both residents of the said village.

Both suspects allegedly yielded 18 grams of suspected shabu worth P122,400, and the P3,100 marked money.

According to the police, Gulmatico is a high-value individual, while Aguilar is a newly-identified individual.

In San Carlos City, two persons were also arrested in Barangay 4 last Tuesday for the seizure of 7.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P48,960.

In Kabankalan City, police operatives also apprehended two persons in Barangay Binicuil that day.

Police confiscated from them seven grams of suspected shabu worth P47,600, a glass tooter, and other drug paraphernalia.
