P217-K ‘shabu’ seized from six persons

BACOLOD City – Six persons were arrested and P217,600 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations here from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1, 2022.

The biggest drug haul was reported in Barangay 27 last Thursday which led to the arrest of Ana Marie Soqueño, 52, of the said village, who allegedly yielded 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, and the P500 marked money.

Police Major Ritchie Gohee, head of Police Station 4, said Soqueño was previously arrested for a drug offense and was released after serving her sentence.

Soqueño, a vendor, is believed to be a high-value individual, according to the police.

Four other persons were also apprehended in Barangays 2, Singcang-Airport, and Alijis that day. The operations were conducted by Police Stations 2, 8, and 7, respectively.

Police confiscated P102,000 worth of suspected shabu from the three operations.

On Nov. 30, a man was also arrested for the recovery of two grams of suspected shabu worth P13,600 in Barangay 27.

The operation was conducted by Police Station 6 and the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
