P175K in ‘shabu’ seized

BACOLOD City – Five persons were arrested which led to the recovery of P175,100 worth of suspected shabu in three separate buy-bust operations here and in Silay City, Negros Occidental from July 9 to 10, 2019.

In Silay City, Antonio Hermano, 45; Ricardo Pelaez, 52; and Hertz Reyes, 45, all residents of Barangay Lantad were collared last Tuesday for possession of 10 sachets of suspected shabu that weighed five grams and valued at P75,000.

The trio also yielded a pack of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P100, drug paraphernalia, the P500 marked money, and P4,000 “boodle” or fake money.

All suspects are on the police watch list of suspected drug personalities.

The following day, Randy Tamayo, 36, of Barangay 10 here was nabbed at Barangay 11 after he allegedly yielded 14 sachets of suspected shabu worth P35,000, the P200 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Tamayo, a suspected street level target, is detained at Police Station 1.

Also arrested at Barangay Pahanocoy here early Wednesday was Paolo Degomon. His companion, a certain “Jao” escaped.

Police seized during the operation three sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams worth P65,000, and the P1,000 marked money.

Degomon is detained at Police Station 3.
