Sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street price of P150,000 were seized in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of Feb. 5, 2020 in City Proper district, Iloilo City.
The operation also led to the arrest of Ariel Callado, 23, a resident of Barangay Tanza-Esperanza, the area where the operation was conducted; and June Sison, a resident of Barangay Flores, City Proper district.
Both were considered street level pushers by authorities.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) collared the suspects after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P30,000 around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Seized from the duo were nine sachets of suspected shabu and two mobile phones.
Less than an hour before their arrest, another purported drug peddler was arrested at Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Rodolfo Paampag allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police agent.
Members of Iloilo City Police Station recovered 11 sachets of suspected shabu and P12,100 cash, including the marked money.
The three suspects are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
