BACOLOD City – Police seized around two kilos of suspected shabu worth P14,960,000 in a buy-bust at Barangay Sulodpan, Bacong, Negros Oriental last Wednesday.

The subject of the operation was identified as Raul Sabanal, 31, of the said town, who is an alleged “bodegero” stock keeper of a drug group, according to the police.

Police considered Sabanal as a high value individual and was placed under monitoring for about a month.

According to Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office, the recovered illegal drugs may have been sourced from outside the province as it was sealed in a Chinese tea bag packaging.

But police refused to divulge more information yet while investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are also probing if Sabanal is part of a drug group, considering the huge volume of illegal drugs confiscated from him.
