Overstaying cops relieved from posts

NEW YEAR, new assignments.

Nine officers of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) were relieved from their respective posts effective Jan. 2, 2019.

The relief and reassignment was stipulated in Special Orders No. 2019-04.

Senior Superintendent Marlon Tayaba, Iloilo police chief, said that the relieved officers were not involved in misdemeanor. Their movement is because they have reached the two-year maximum tour of duty.

“There’s a nationwide order to relieve officers that who have reached or about to reach the maximum two-year stint,” Tayaba said.

The officers include Senior Inspector Francis Albert Fortunado who was relieved from the IPPO headquarters and now heads Carles Police Station; Chief Inspector Dennis Pamonag from Badiangan Police Station to Tigbauan PS; Senior Inspector Rowena Hubero from Dueñas PS to Dingle PS; and Inspector Edgar Labiscase from Sta. Barbara PS to San Dionisio PS.

Also relieved were Senior Inspector Ma. Theresa Lero from Mina PS to Badiangan PS; Senior Inspector Samuel Vipinosa from Dingle PS to Dueñas PS; Senior Inspector Hermogenes Eulatic from Tigbauan PS to San Joaquin PS; Senior Inspector Marvin Buenavista from San Dionisio PS to Lemery PS; and Inspector Felice Dioso from Calinog PS to Mina PS.

Other orders for relief and reassignment of commissioned and non-commissioned officers are expected as the election campaign season nears.
