Around 2,300 job vacancies await jobseekers in the Job and Migrant Fair of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)-Iloilo today, Sept 30, 2022, at Casa Real De Iloilo, Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

PESO head Francisco Heler Jr. said that the job fair is a big opportunity for everyone, as easy-to-fill-in jobs will be offered, like cashiers, sales ladies, service crew, sales assistants, counter salesmen, sales clerks, delivery drivers, collectors, human resource staff, and auditors, among others.

Job seekers are also encouraged to pre-register at the PESO-Iloilo office on the fifth floor of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, or coordinate with the PESO offices in their respective towns. Walk-in applicants will also be accepted.

“Since jobs both local and abroad will be offered, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are welcome to join as well,” PESO-Iloilo added.

Some reminders PESO-Iloilo posted on its Facebook page include bringing ballpens, identification cards (IDs), extra copies of resumes and other necessary documents, and wearing presentable clothes.

A help desk will also be put up at the venue to help anyone who needs to inquire from the Social Security System (SSS), Technical Education and Skill Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Health Insurance Corp (PhilHealth), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Aside from the job fair, PESO-Iloilo will also conduct a seminar on financial literacy and anti-illegal recruitment, and anti-trafficking.

There will also a trade fair of native delicacies, coffee, and other local products in the Casa Real hallway which will be participated by different OFW organizations.

A “Libre Sakay” will also be offered by nine local government units (LGUs) to jobseekers, which include Passi City and the municipalities of Barotac Viejo, Janiuay, Miag-ao, Pototan, Tigbauan, Oton, Sara, and Sta. Barbara.
