After a successful revival of the Wilson Sports Philippines 3×3 basketball tournament in Western Visayas held in Roxas City, the On D’ Move (ODM) Sportswear has another treat in store for Ilonggos as they are set to bring a region-wide three-point shootout contest.

Headed by ODM Sports League commissioner Jeremiah Obera in partnership with Wilson Sports PH, the ODM X Wilson Three-Point Shootout is set to kick off tomorrow and will be held at the IIC Court in Roxas, City.

Since the day of the announcement of registration, over 70 confirmed participants will vie for the crown as ODM x Wilson’s first-ever three-point king.

Deadly shooters from all over Region VI are expected to grace the prestigious tournament including representatives from both Iloilo City and province, Aklan, Roxas, Negros, and Antique.

However, the contest won’t be a walk in the park for the majority of the participants as six of the most well-known knockdown shooters in the region have confirmed their presence and are excited to bag the championship trophy.

Burnok Olendo, Roxas B’s crafty scorer that finished second-place honors during the ODM Capiz Inter-Town basketball tournament, was quick to submit his name as a participant and was also ODM’s 2017 three-point shootout champion.

Randy Binga-an and Rizjohn Legaspi, two of the most veteran shooters known in Capiz, will also join the contest and are looking to defy father time.

Youngblood Dan Arches, a former Mapua University Cardinal and NCAA juniors star, also accepted the challenge and is still holding his title as ODM’s three-point king this year.

Completing the list are two of the most highly-regarded snipers hailing from the City of Love: Inno Miclat and Peter Traviña.

Miclat, a veteran trigger-ready guard, was a two-time three-point champion in Iloilo City after ruling the 2020 Dinagyang Cup three-point contest and the 2021 JB Amateur Basketball League (JB ABL) shootout.

Traviña on the other hand will join Arches as two of the youngest participants but already has a list full of achievements in the world of three-point shooting.

The microwave shooter hailing from Tigbauan, Iloilo was a former champion during the 2021 JB ABL three-point contest and became one of the most efficient three-point shooters during the 2022 Mayor Jerry P. Treñas New Normal Basketball League where he played for the DPWH-Iloilo Executives squad.
