Roxas City-based On D’ Move (ODM) Sports league isn’t done bringing treats to all aspiring basketball players in Western Visayas.

After a successful opening of its ODM Sinadya Cup, commissioner and founder Jeremiah Obera is set to bring a basketball program that could benefit Western Visayas hoopers with huge dreams to play nationally.

Obera will be collaborating with Wilson Sports Philippines in setting up a local-national basketball bridge program that is eyed to have its debut next year summertime.

According to Obera, ODM Sports, with the help of its supporting organizations will be conducting a basketball tryout with the ultimate goal of helping the players enroll in a school through a hoops scholarship.

The debut framework of the program will be conducted first in the province of Capiz with ODM Sports choosing at least 30 players and will undergo a series of tests/tryouts to determine the final number of persons.

The final names of those who passed the full tryout will then be submitted to Wilson Sports PH and will help in catering to the players who were approved to play for universities in Luzon and other parts of Visayas.

Aside from Wilson Sports PH, a couple of coaches from Cebu and Manila already contacted Mr. Obera for his program and will be scouting potential players through his program.

Obera added that this program is one of his initiatives built from his basketball passion and will also benefit those players in need of an avenue to showcase their skills.

As of this time, Obera is yet to finalize his program’s name and other player perks but is already firm with his decision of kicking it off next year.
