No special treatment for forex scam suspects

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The chief of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) here assured the public that no special treatment will be given to the alleged Forex Investment Scam Queen Lourdes Bulaquiña Baarde and her cohort Joel Domayan.

Chief Inspector Abner Zamora, Jail warden of BJMP-Roxas City Jail, said equal treatment is afforded to all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL’s) inside the city jail, “whether you are poor or rich.”

He also assured full security for the two detainees after they received threat from their accusers.

Baarde and Domayan were transferred from the Roxas City PNP to the BJMP in Brgy. San Jose here on orders of the courts where the charges were filed against them.

On Nov. 14, 2019, members of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), together with Roxas City Police Station, arrested Baarde and Domayan in two separate operations.

Baarde was arrested in Calamba, Laguna while Domayan, 28, was collared at his residence in South Triangle, Quezon City on the strength of a warrant of arrest in Criminal Case No. C-261-19.
