New PhilHealth office opens in Pavia

To fulfill its mandate of providing accessible healthcare services and bringing frontline services closer to its members, PhilHealth Regional Office VI opens a Satellite Office in Robinsons Place Pavia, Iloilo.

The Satellite Office is located at the 3rd Floor Area of Robinsons Place Pavia and will operate Mondays to Fridays, from 10 am to 7 pm.

Members and residents of Pavia and its neighboring towns and districts need not travel long to Iloilo City for their PhilHealth concerns.

The new office accepts transactions for member registration and enrollment, member data amendment, request for documents, benefits inquiries and assistance and collection and Electronic Premium Remittance System (EPRS) inquiries.

The opening of the Satellite Office was graced by PhilHealth officers Dr. Dennis S. Mas, Senior Vice President (SVP) for Membership Services Sector (MSS); Nadine Navarro, Acting Senior Manager for Corporate Marketing, and Janet A. Monteverde, Acting Regional Vice President (ARVP) of PhilHealth-6.

In his message, SVP Dennis S. Mas said that “the establishment of another PhilHealth Satellite Office is part of the implementation of the Universal Health Care (UHC) law which has recently taken effect. Under the UHC, each district should have a PhilHealth Office. This step will enable PhilHealth to better serve its members”.

Iloilo 2nd district Rep. Michael B. Gorriceta and Pavia Mayor Laurence Anthony G. Gorriceta also graced the event and both expressed gratitude for bringing PhilHealth to their Municipality and District.

In response, ARVP Janet A. Monteverde said “PhilHealth is truly thankful for the support of the Local Government Unit of Pavia, the office of the 2nd District House of Representatives and Robinsons Land Corporation in making this effort of bringing PhilHealth closer to the people a success. Rest assured that we will keep our commitment to provide financial risk protection and accessible healthcare services to the people”.

The opening of the new PhilHealth Satellite Office began with a blessing and ribbon-cutting led by PhilHealth officers with Cong. Michael Gorriceta and Robinsons Land Corporation Regional Operations Manager Ms. Kristin September Hortelano. It was followed by the program proper and a ceremonial Member Data Record (MDR) and PhilHealth ID printing of a PhilHealth member. (PRO6-Public Affairs Unit/K. N. Alkonga)
