BACOLOD City – The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) has formed a special investigation task group that will investigate the murder of Negros Oriental Provincial Board Member Miguel Dungog.

Outgoing NOrPPO director, Police Colonel Raul Tacaca convened the task group on Wednesday at the Dumaguete City Police Station.

Investigators are still looking for possible angles that will lead the identification of the suspects.

The provincial government of Negros Oriental and the business sector offered a P500,000 bounty to anyone who can provide information that would lead to the suspects’ arrest.

Dungog was shot dead last week as he was walking towards Silliman University Medical Center.

Dungog was running for Board member of Negros Oriental’s 3rd District under the group of incumbent Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
