BACOLOD City – Police Colonel Julian Entoma was officially installed as head of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo).

Police Chief Master Sergeant Edelberto Euroba, public information officer of Norppo, said an order for Entoma’s designation in the province was issued effective October 18 from the Police Regional Office (PRO) – 7.

Euroba said Entoma was among the three police officials recommended by the regional headquarters to the governor.  He came from PRO-7 as a training officer after serving as city director of Mandaue City Police Office.

The turn-over ceremony presided by Police Colonel Limuel Obon, regional chief of staff of PRO-7, who represented Brigadier General Val De Leon, regional director of PRO-7, along with Governor Roel Degamo was held at Norppo headquarters in Agan-an, Sibulan town last Friday.

Euroba said Entoma replaced Police Colonel Rizalito Gapas, who was designated last August in his acting capacity, after Police Colonel Raul Tacaca was relieved from his post, following spate of killings last July.

He said Gapas will return to the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters for a new assignment.

He said the change in command was only procedural, and not part of the major revamp of the PNP because the order came from PRO-7 headquarters.
