NBTC area head for WV initiates athletes’ documentary contest

Dr. Richard Gabayoyo, the current National Basketball Training Center’s area head for Western Visayas, is initiating a documentary making contest for the athletes covering their life and experiences as an athlete amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also the main head for Guimaras’ Players’ Center Sports Academy, commissioner and director for both Guimaras NBTC and SBP, the provincial director for Guimaras appointed by PEKAF, and the founder of Guimaras Volleyball Championship (GVC), Dr. Gabayoyo spearheaded such event aiming to let the Guimarasnon athletes reflect on the things they’ve done during the quarantine.

Each athlete will have the freedom to create their video with a three-minute minimum time limit and a maximum of five minutes.

Concept and Presentation will be 40%, originality is 20%, Relevance to the Theme is 30%, and Facebook reacts at 10%.

The final deadline for the handing in of the videos will be on May 25, 2020. Facebook reacts will be scored as follows: 1 like is equal to 1 point while 1 heart react is equal to 2 points.

“While ang Guimaras nasa general community quarantine and we Guimarasnons are staying at home and also due to the stoppage of our sporting events due to COVID-19 pandemic, our athletes will be given the chance to come up with their video making entries regarding their life and experiences as an athlete amid these times,” Dr. Gabayoyo said in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
