After his disappointing Australian Open quarterfinals exit, Rafael Nadal will be back in tennis action and decided to join the Mexico Open in Acapulco.

Still recovering from a disappointing outing last Australian Open, Nadal will seek to bounce back and prove he can still go at it with the young guns of the sport.

A two-time former champion at Acapulco, Nadal chose to join the tournament again due to his familiarity with the court and the tournament.

Also, the Nadal-Nick Kyrgios match up will be highly anticipated when the two players ultimately meet in this year’s tournament.

Last year, Kyrgios eliminated Nadal in the second round of the Mexico Open and Nadal felt disrespected after Kyrgios fired an underarm service when he was about to win.

Despite the controversy, Nadal said that he already moved on from the event and has no hard feelings toward Kyrgios anymore.

“I have never had a feeling of revenge, no feeling of revenge helps you win games, but the opposite. The only thing that revenge does is that you cannot think clearly,” Nadal said.
