Muní-Muní

A collection of playful and youthful Patadyong and Hablon dresses from different weaving communities took the runway as Hala Bira Dinagyang Arts Festival kicked off. Models wore dresses in colorful hues that spoke of the beauty and grandiosity of Iloilo’s weaving industry.

The Dinagyang Arts Festival is a perfect avenue for various artists like me to showcase our creativity, passion, and love for our crafts and culture.

I’ve been in the fashion industry for years already and promoting the local fabrics of Iloilo is my advocacy, especially the weaving community of my hometown Oton. Loving and promoting Hablon and Patadyong are my little ways of helping the weavers.

With our continuous effort, love, and promotion, our weaving industry will not die. I believe Hablon and Patadyong are not just commodities but also reflections of our community’s culture, arts and dreams.
