ILOILO United Royals will set up a South division clash with fellow Visayan team Cebu City Sharks in the MPBL Lakan Cup, as they face off today, July 15, 2019, 4 p.m. at Valenzuela Astrodome.

The United Royals will strive to maintain their position at the top of their division coming off a fresh win against Nueva Ecija, as they sit at the second spot together with Davao and Basilan with identical 3-1 (win-loss) cards.

Meanwhile, the City Sharks will rebound and regroup after a tough loss to Biñan as the game went down to the wire with Biñan getting away with a two-point lead last July 3, 2019.

The matchup between Patrick Jan Cabahug of Cebu and Al Francis Tamsi of Iloilo is highly anticipated, as both players were former PBA pros and will look to get the best out of each other in the game.

If the United Royals win, they will claim the second spot in the South Division and will gain momentum as the only rookie team to have one loss in the league so far.
