‘Most wanted drug pusher’ nabbed in drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 32-year-old man was arrested Saturday evening, March 11, in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tanza Sur, Panay, Capiz.

The operation was jointly conducted by the Capiz Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPPDEU); Capiz Police Intelligence Unit (CPIU); and Panay Municipal Police Station against Frankie Bertuldo of Brgy. Solo also of Pontevedra town.

Recovered from Bertuldo were 6 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams and valued at P170,000, a sling bag, and the P6,500 marked money.

The Pontevedra Municipal Police Station also served two warrants of arrest against Bertuldo while the police were conducting inventory on the illegal items recovered from the drug bust.

The two warrants of arrest were issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 15 Judge Alma Banias Delfin and RTC Branch 19 Judge Esperanza Isabel E. Poco Deslate both for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The same charges were filed against Bertuldo on Monday before the Provincial Prosecutors’ Office for his latest arrest.

Meanwhile, charges were filed against two male friends who were arrested Friday afternoon, March 10, after they were caught in the act of using illegal drugs in a vacant lot at Pueblo De Panay, in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.

Charges for violation of RA 9165 were filed before the City Prosecutors Office against them.

Renjil Adame, a tricycle driver of Barangay San Jose; and Francelito Caldeo, a parking boy barker of Barangay Bolo, both of Roxas City, are facing charges for violation of RA 9165.

According to National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) investigator Jojo Fangco, the two were turned over by Rolando Anisco, chief security officer of Pueblo De Panay Security Mobile Force after they were caught in a pot session in a vacant lot.

Recovered from them were a sachet of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia. The two were also found positive for illegal drug use.
