More than P800-k worth of ‘shabu’ seized, 46 nabbed in 18 days

BACOLOD City – Forty-six persons were arrested while P825,166 worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate anti-illegal drug operations from Feb. 2-19, 2022.

In Bacolod, five persons were apprehended while P191,400 worth of the said contraband was confiscated.

The buy-bust operations were conducted by Police Stations 2, 5, 6, and the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in Barangays 2, 7, 28, and Banago.

In Negros Occidental, P633,766 worth of suspected shabu was seized from 41 persons.

The operations were conducted in the cities of Bago, Cadiz, Silay, Kabankalan, Talisay, Victorias, La Carlota, San Carlos, Escalante, Sagay, and Himamaylan; and the towns of Binalbagan, Hinigaran, Ilog, Cauayan, Valladolid, Manapla, Hinoba-an, and Calatrava.

The biggest drug haul was reported in Silay City on Feb. 16, following the confiscation of P81,600 worth of suspected shabu.
