AN ESTIMATED P611,500 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were seized in separate drug raids in Negros Occidental from April 30 to May 2, 2019.

In Bacolod City, Carmen Custodio of Barangay Banago was arrested in a buy-bust on May 2 after she allegedly sold shabu to a police agent for P500.

Police recovered from Custodio were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams and valued at P125,000; the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

In a separate operation, Bernard Benegay was arrested in a drug bust at Barangay Mandalagan early Thursday after police seized from him six sachets of suspected shabu weighing seven grams and worth P87,500; the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Custodio and Benegay are detained at Police Station 3.

Also arrested yesterday in Sagay City was Rodolfo Golisao, 39, of Barangay Vito after he allegedly engaged in the illegal drug trade.

Authorities confiscated from him five sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, and the P500 marked money.

On May 1, May Ray Jane Termil was arrested at Barangay 2, this city after allegedly engaging in a transaction with a police agent in a buy-bust operation.

Termil yielded five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams and valued at P140,000, the P500 marked money, and a coin purse.

Termil is detained at Police Station 2.

Last Wednesday, Cristi Ray, 37, of Barangay 16, this city was also arrested in a drug bust in the said village which resulted in the recovery of 13 sachets of suspected shabu worth P30,000, the P200 marked money, two lighters, and a coin purse.

Ray, an alleged street level target, is detained at Police Station 1.

On the same day, Genebert Taco, 35, of Barangay Tanawan, Kabankalan City, was arrested after police raided his house through a search warrant for illegal possession of firearm.

Also arrested was Joenebert Gonzales, 30, of Barangay Hilamonan.

Police recovered from Taco a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with three live ammunition, 19 live ammunition, and seven fired cartridges of the said firearm, eight live ammunition, and five fired cartridges of .45 caliber, backpack, two sachets of suspected shabu, and drug paraphernalia while Gonzales allegedly yielded a sachet of suspected shabu.

The recovered illegal drugs has an estimated value of P150,000.

In Sagay City, Ronnie Mangubat, 36, of Barangay Poblacion 2 was arrested last Wednesday after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, and the P500 marked money in a buy-bust at Barangay Vito.

On April 30, Jay Ryan Gallego, 23, of Barangay 5, Silay City and Aira Barbas, 27, of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City were arrested in a drug bust at Barangay 1, Silay City.

Police operatives recovered from them seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams worth P75,000, drug paraphernalia, P2,000 in cash, the P500 marked money, P6,000 boodle money, a live ammunition of .38 caliber, and other valuables.
