More ‘shabu’ worth P1-M seized in weekend bust

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized P1,081,200 worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations here from August 6 to 8, 2021.

The biggest drug haul in the past three days was conducted at Barangay Banago last Saturday that led to the confiscation of 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000.

Arrested were Allan Sadia, 32, of Barangay 29; and Johnny Gonzaga, 54, of Barangay 1.

Authorities also confiscated from them the P1,000 marked money, P11,000 boodle or fake money, and drug paraphernalia.

The operation was led by the Police Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit -6, Regional Special Operations Group, and Police Station 2.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 2.

The following day, another drug sting was conducted by PDEA-6 Special Enforcement Unit at Barangay 8.

The operation resulted in the apprehension of Tommy Flores, who allegedly yielded about 50 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P340,000.

Police also seized P61,200 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Barangays 4, Tangub, and Mansilingan.

The busts happened two days after the P770,000 drug haul of Police Station 5 and the P238,000 drug recovery of the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG)-6 and Police Station 2 at Barangays Taculing and 6 on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
