MORE Power sends help to Cebu and Bohol

MORE Power personnel meet with their counterparts from Visayas Electric Company in Cebu.

MORE Electric and Power Corp. personnel are in Cebu and Bohol to help repair and rehabilitate power distribution infrastructures that were damaged at the height of typhoon Odette in December 2021.

The team includes linemen and customer care personnel and vehicles that will be used in the replacement and repair of toppled poles and power lines.

Twenty personnel are assigned to Visayas Electric Company (VECO) while 17 are with Bohol Electric Cooperative (BOHECO).

The MORE Power team are also the group who helped rehabilitate the power infrastructures of Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative and Central Negros Electric Cooperative in Negros Occidental for almost a month.

The team will stay for a month in Cebu and Bohol where around 70 percent of power supply has been restored so far.

MORE Power’s effort is part of Task Force Kapatid project of the Department of Energy, National Electrification Administration, and Philippine Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
