MORE Power bares first month performance

MORE Electric and Power Corp drew almost 50 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity from its suppliers a month after handling power distribution services in Iloilo City.

Based on the first month performance report of MORE Power (Feb 29 to March 29, 2020), the firm delivered 49,473,447 kWh from Panay Energy Development Corp. (PEDC), Panay Power Corp (PPC), Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) kag KEPCO to Iloilo City consumers.

MORE Power also responded to 724 concerns from consumers such as power restorations, power quality, and meter concerns. The average response time per concern was 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, MORE Power also replaced 33 old and decaying poles and 14 transformers as part of its preventive maintenance activities.

The firm also acted on 5,552 concerns coursed through its hotlines, social media accounts, and personal visits at its Customer Care Office.

In keeping with its congressional franchise and court orders, MORE Power absorbed 62 employees of the previous distribution company, bringing its total personnel force to 138.

MORE Power president Roel Castro said their successes in their first month of operations is due to the company’s close and warm relations with community leaders and consumers.

Castro said they are also elated by the positive responses they got from consumers.
