More capitol employees infected with COVID

BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said a department head and three other employees of the Capitol were infected with COVID-19.

Diaz said that an accounting department head, her mother and niece, and one of her staff, are now isolated at the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia.

He also said that an employee assigned to the Capitol Promotion and Information Section and three members of his family and another employee assigned to the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center, also contracted the virus.

The Promotion and Information Section office has been closed after its staff were subjected to swab testing at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

The Accounting Office remains open though.

Diaz said that they will also subject to swab testing other close contacts and Accounting department employees.

As of this time, the Mambukal Mountain Resort, which has 18 rooms, is now being occupied by six COVID-19 patients.

One of the staff of Promotion and Information Section reported that all of them tested negative for COVID-19.

As of September 7, 2021 Negros Occidental has 68 active cases.
