Minor, 6 others busted for drugs

BACOLOD City – Seven persons, including a minor were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations of policemen here and in Negros Occidental from September 17 to 18.

In Silay City, Jerome Amando, 34, of Barangay Lantad, a target-listed drug personality, was arrested at the said village Wednesday for alleged confiscation of 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams worth P165,000, drug paraphernalia, the P500 marked money, P3,500 boodle or fake money, a homemade firearm, and a .9mm-caliber ammunition.

Also arrested that day at Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava town was July Homecillo, 37, of the said village. Police recovered from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,000, and the P500 marked money.

In Sagay City, Ramil Sinogbuhan, 23, and Amar Sinogbuhan, 28, both residents of Barangay Poblacion 2 were also arrested at the said village on the same day, after police seized from them three sachets of suspected shabu, and the P500 marked money.

A minor was also arrested here for possessing suspected marijuana while a man was also collared after police seized from a sachet of suspected shabu.

Last Tuesday, John Nueva España, 50, of Barangay Su-ay, Himamaylan City was arrested at the said barangay after he allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P630 cash.
