Megaworld gives Bacolod first full-service McCafé and most modern designed store in McDonald’s Forbes Hill

BACOLOD City – The much-awaited opening of the unique and first-in-the-province McDonald’s NXTGEN store is finally happening as property giant Megaworld continues to bring excitement to its 53-hectare Northill Gateway township along the New Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road.

Set to officially open its doors on December 16 as the first-ever, full-scale McDonald’s NXTGEN store in Negros Island, McDonald’s Forbes Hill is located in front of Megaworld’s exclusive Forbes Hill residential village and just beside the iconic Bacolod Welcome Marker.

Here are the new and exciting things Negrenses will get to experience when they visit McDonald’s Forbes Hill:

World-class design scheme

In yet another first in Negros Island, the interiors and exteriors of McDonald’s Forbes Hill are designed following the Ray Palette, the fast food giant’s latest, global standard design scheme that puts emphasis on space and lighting.

Only select new stores adopt this new design scheme in the country. One of them is another Megaworld-owned McDonald’s store in Capital Town Pampanga, which holds the record of being the largest McDonald’s store in the country today in terms of floor area.

First McCafé in Negros

In addition to offering customers classic McDonald’s favorites like burgers and fries, the Forbes Hill branch will also satisfy Negrenses’ sweet tooth through its very own McCafé.

Customers can polish off their McDonald’s meal with a slice of cake or a cookie, washed down with their drink of choice—from iced or hot coffee, latte, or cappuccino best enjoyed using exclusive McCafé mugs, to frappes and other non-caffeinated drinks such as juices.

The Philippines’ largest Bike and Dine facility

Outdoors, this store boasts of the country’s largest McDonald’s Bike and Dine facility, along with bicycle racks and a Bike Repair Station—making it not just the largest in the country, but also the bike-friendliest in the province.

Pushing sustainability forward, this branch also features vertical gardens and green walls.

State-of-the-art NXTGEN features and facilities

Finally, McDonald’s Forbes Hill features Self-Ordering Kiosks,  where customers can order and pay for their food through cashless modes of payments, namely cards and Paymaya. It also features modernized menu boards, a dual-point counter system, and a USB charging station.

This store also features an alfresco dining area and a modern Drive-Thru facility. To make the drive-through experience even more of a breeze for customers, particularly when there’s a long line, a Handheld Order-Taking (HHOT) device will be used by crew members to take orders from customers right from their vehicles.

For customers who wish to hold parties, kids’ events, and other activities in the store, specially trained Guest Experience Leaders (GELs) are always ready to assist.

“We are very excited to welcome everyone here at McDonald’s Forbes Hill. We are proud to finally bring this unique and innovative McDonald’s store format here in the province that Filipinos have come to love, and what better way to celebrate this milestone than to be part of this iconic Megaworld township,” says Judy Gabriel, executive director, Choice Gourmet Banquet, Inc. (CGBI).

McDonald’s Forbes Hill, the 860th McDonald’s store in the country and the 17th Megaworld-owned McDonald’s outlet in the country, will have an expansive parking area that can accommodate more than 30 slots for vehicles.

Safety of diners continues to be the store’s highest priority under McDonald’s M Safe program. Routine temperature checks are done at the store entrance and customers are required to wear facemasks. All employees are also 100% fully vaccinated, and Safety Officers will be on duty during store hours to ensure safety protocols are implemented. Only fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed to dine indoors, and the store will also observe 50% dining capacity, as per the guidelines implemented by the government’s COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

The Megaworld-owned McDonald’s is part of Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC) or McDonald’s Philippines, a strategic partnership between Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI) and the George Yang Group. The group holds the exclusive franchise to operate the McDonald’s brand in the Philippines.
