Aiming to develop grassroots-level talent and provide those equipped with skills to blossom, the MDC Sports Inc. is currently rotating all over the Philippines to conduct their famous 3×3 league.

Their recent leg was a stop-over at Iloilo City where they had a successful 3×3 league with numerous powerhouse teams joining the competition.

After almost three years of contact sports stoppage, the MDC Sports Inc. in partnership with renowned Western Visayas basketball head coach Jophil Cercado, brought one of the prized 3×3 tournaments to the City of Love in a two-day event.

There were four categories in the 3×3 event: the 13-under, 15-under, 18-under, and the 21-under category that were joined by participants from all over Western Visayas.

Hundreds of hoopers flocked to the University of San Agustin extension campus at Sambag, Jaro, Iloilo and underwent a day of grueling competition during the elimination phase.

Out of all the four categories, the Iloilo city-based Robejes Wonders team composed of varsity players from the University of San Agustin dominated the 15-under, 18-under, and the 21-under categories.

The Saint John Institute team from Bacolod emerged as the winners in the 13-under category after nipping Robejes Wonders.

Meanwhile, in the 15-under category, the Robejes Wonders team retaliated and took down the St. John Institute team to clinch the championship title.

Robejes Wonders’ basketball clinic continued in the 18-under category as superstar Agapito Clarito Jr. led his squad against Ann’s Ukay2 team.

Last but not the least, the duo of Franc Tono and Kimrey Servano led Robejes Wonders to another championship in the 21-under category and got the better of the Leganes Shooters team.
