A 51-YEAR-OLD man went on rampage and stabbed his two brothers and sister-in-law over an old issue that was brought to his attention.

The incident happened 1:55 p.m. of July 17, 2019 at Barangay Lo-ong, Concepcion, Iloilo.

Jomarie Chiquito, 51, also a resident of Lo-ong village, got irked after his two brothers discussed anew his alleged failure to share in the burial expenses of their late father.

Joemarie stabbed his brother Rady Chiquito, 55, and his wife Rosie Chiquito, 55; and another brother Randy Chiquito, 31.

Police Major Jonah Galicha, Concepcion police chief, said the brothers engaged in a heated confrontation while drinking liquor.

At the height of their verbal tussle, Jomarie’s wife even appealed to the victims to stop asking her husband about his share in the burial expenses “because they had no money.”

But it went on until the suspect pulled a knife and plunged it on the victims.

Rosie was hit on her stomach, Randy on his right leg while Randy Chiquito was wounded on his right arm.

Rosie Chiquito was brought to Sara District Hospital but was later transferred to Western Visayas Medical Center.

The two other victims were brought to Concepcion Rural Health Unit for treatment.

Jomarie fled after the incident and remains at-large as of this writing.
