BACOLOD City – Grudges triggered three brothers to shoot and stab their uncle and relative at Sitio Saisi, Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Friday.

Police identified one of the victims as Michael Mallorca, 46, while the name of his 17-year-old nephew was withheld.

Police Master Sergeant Ramonito Regalia Jr., investigator of Kabankalan City Police Station, said the victims were on their way home when they were waylaid by the Mallorca brothers – Jero, 29, JR, 24, and a minor.

Regalia said that Jero then allegedly shot Michael’s right leg, while JR also shot his 17-year-old relative’s right arm.

The minor-suspect then allegedly hacked Michael, hitting his upper and lower left arm.

The wounded victims managed to run while the suspects also fled.

Regalia said the father of the minor-victim was arrested previously after he was linked to the killing of the suspects’ father.

“Nakita nila na may koneksyon ining bata kag si Michael,” he added.

Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects, who are still at large.
