BACOLOD City – A man and his nephew were arrested for alleged possession of 210 grams of suspected marijuana worth P25,200 in a buy-bust operation at Purok 3 Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport here last Sunday.

The subjects were identified as Ynaque Claridad, 24, and Ernesto Claridad, 53, both residents of the said village.

Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said the younger Claridad is on their drugs watchlist, while Ernesto allegedly joined his nephew in the illegal drug trade.

Several sachets of dried marijuana leaves and the P500 marked money were recovered from them.

Puerto said they have monitored Ynaque since last week.

“Wala kami nag laum na amo na kadamo ang marijuana,” he added.

Puerto believed that the recovered illegal drugs were probably part of the one kilo of suspected marijuana that arrived here recently.

Charges for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs are being readied against the two suspects, who are street-level individuals, according to the police.
