A migrant worker was arrested for a murder case that happened more than a decade ago.

Police nabbed 28-year-old Ryan Francisco evening of March 15 at his house in Barangay Castillo, Tibiao, Antique.

Members of the Tibiao Municipal Police Station, together with the Antique Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Team, served Francisco an arrest warrant for murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 19-05-1842.

Judge Mario De Guzman Andres of the Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Bugasong, Antique issued the warrant on March 2, 2023.

No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

Captain Paul Joseph Oberio, Tibiao police chief, said Francisco is the third most wanted person in the town of Tibiao and in the province of Antique.

The murder incident happened in 2011 when the suspect was just 17 years old. He allegedly shot his 12-year-old cousin.

After the incident, Francisco went to La Carlota and Pontevedra in Negros Occidental where he later found work.

But he recently went back to Antique partly to face the case against him.

Francisco is now detained and will be presented to the court.
