ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two live-in partners were arrested again in a buy-bust operation conducted on June 12, 2019 in Brgy. Tiza here.
Ten sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from Serafin Celiz, 50, and his live-in partner Lyka Eslabon, 21, of Barangay Cogon, Panay, Capiz.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Roxas City Police Station conducted the sting operation.
Aside from suspected shabu valued at more or less P135,000, police also recovered a pouch, a cellular phone and the P500 marked money.
The suspects were arrested few months ago, but they were released through plea bargaining.
When the police opened the cellular phone of Eslabon, they found text messages between the lady suspect and her mother saying that the latter has sent a package through LBC Express.
The police went to the place and they found Eslabon’s mother Myleen who claimed the package. When the police opened the package, they found some 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value at P675,000.
Myleen was also arrested and will be included in the filing of complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
