A LECHON kiosk attendant in Pavia, Iloilo died by electrocution Sunday evening.

The victim was identified as Jayboy Gordoncilo, 34, a resident of Barangay Sto. Cruz in Arevalo, Iloilo City, and worked at Cebuano’s Lechon Manok and Liempo at Hibao-an village.

Gordoncilll was working at the kiosk around 6:15 p.m. Sunday when it was believed that the skewer he was holding touched a live electrical wire.

Police Staff Sergeant Rolando Arellano, Pavia police investigators, said the wire was used for the kiosk lighting.

He was rushed to Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City but was declared dead on arrival.

On the evening of Oct. 12, Gordoncillo was able to tell his live-in partner that the area where he was working has “electrical ground.”

He claimed that he’s been jolted by what seemed to be an electric current at times.

His live-in partner also worked for the same company but was assigned in a different branch.
