The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 has confirmed that the families of the deadly shooting incident in Estancia, Iloilo went to its headquarters in Camp Delgado, Iloilo City on Wednesday, Nov 23, 2022.

But PRO-6 has not released any information on the personalities who met with Brigadier General Leo Francisco, Western Visayas police chief.

In a text message, Francisco only confirmed the meeting, but he did not provide details, specifically if the families of murdered entrepreneurs Mark Clarenz Libao, Jan Paul Mark Bosque, and Chrysler Floyd Fernandes were all present.

Even Major Mary Grace Borio, PRO-6 spokesperson, was not privy to the meeting.

As to who are these members of the families, “I don’t have the details,” Borio said.

On their purpose, “I think they would convey their gratitude for the filing of the case,” she added.

The meeting took place five days after the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) PALIBOSFER filed a case against 11 suspects in the Sept 14, 2022 shooting incident.

Among those charged were brothers Jevron Parohinog and Jix Parohinog, Michael Porras, Michael Quiachon, Benzen Llamado, and 5 John Does.

Despite that the case was already filed, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 6 did not reportedly cease its parallel investigation.

But the NBI-6 said they would refrain from giving out details to the public, so as not to affect the ongoing prosecution.
