The Kaya FC-Iloilo continued its undefeated run in the 2022 Copa Paulino Alcantara Cup after dismantling the Azkals Development Team (ADT), 4-0.

It was Kaya FC’s best offensive outing in the tournament so far and repeated its mastery over the talented ADT team since their last Copa grand finals clash.

Kaya superstar forward Robert Lopez Mendy grabbed the spotlight and scored a brace for Iloilo when he found the back of the net in the 19th and 29th minutes of the match.

It was pure artistry for Lopez Mendy after converting on a solid kick that drew first blood for Kaya FC and followed it up with a tap kick inside the penalty area for his second goal.

Carlyle Mitchell also added to Kaya FC’s scoring tally after sending in a header goal from a sweet Daizo Horikoshi cross pass just after Lopez Mendy’s first goal.

The ADT squad was only limited to a couple of attempts the whole game courtesy of Kaya FC’s tremendous and well-plotted defensive schemes that were consistent from the get-go.

Horikoshi sealed the convincing win for Iloilo after a late goal in the 80th minute that helped them go up to as much as 10 points in the standings.

Kaya FC will have the chance to improve their tally when they take on the veteran-filled Stallion Laguna FC on May 2, 2022.

Meanwhile, the youngsters from ADT will seek to bounce back against the Maharlika Manila football club on April 25, 2022.
