June Mar Fajardo isn’t done breaking records in the PBA.

After another stellar season in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup conference, Fajardo clinched the Best Player of the Conference award with a total of 1,119 points, extending his record to nine total BPC trophies since entering the league in 2012.

It was an easy decision for the PBA after Fajardo garnered 501 statistical points, 537 votes from the media panel, and 81 player votes.

Fajardo got the better of his San Miguel teammate CJ Perez and TNT Tropang Giga’s Mikey Williams for the award.

Perez, the Beermen’s superstar small forward, finished in second place with 776 points while Williams tallied 610 total points.

Fajardo is still the league’s record-holder in terms of BPC won with a total of nine followed by TNT’s Jayson Castro and PBA legend Danny Ildefonso who both have five apiece.

Aside from his nine BPC awards, Fajardo also broke the records of Ramon Fernandez and Alvin Patrimonio for the player with the most MVP awards.

Cebu’s gentle giant already had six after taking each award from 2014-2019 while Fernandez and Patrimonio won the award four times.

If Fajardo and the Beermen can get past TNT in the ongoing PBA PHL Cup finals and win the title, the towering center will have the chance to win his seventh MVP award and cement his name as the most dominant player to ever set foot in the league.
