After being sidelined for almost two years due to a torn ACL, Jovelyn “The Bionic Ilongga” thought her volleyball career was over.

Gonzaga found herself back on the volleyball court after two years of serious rehab and preparation.

The returning Gonzaga then pledged her services back to the Pacifictown Army Lady Troopers and helped them garner two wins this conference.

The former team captain of the Central Philippine University volleyball team in Iloilo proved that she can still compete with the biggest names, as she also helped the Cignal HD Spikers reach the finals of the Philippine Superliga.

Still capable and still truly dependable, Gonzaga was chosen to be a member of the Southeast Asian Grand Prix lineup of the Philippines.

Back in familiar territory, Gonzaga will be joined by numerous volleyball starts that will represent the country in Thailand from September 20 to 22.
