One of the most lethal scorers in Philippine basketball is set for his highly-anticipated return.

Joseph “The Ninja”, Yeo, a former star shooting guard in the Philippine Basketball Association and a legend with the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers, will be returning to the hardwood and play in the 2022 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

Yeo will be headlining the Manila Stars team and already proceeded with his jersey presentation ceremony but the terms under the playing contract are yet to be finalized.

Present during the official jersey presentation were team owner Raymond Ang, Salazar, deputy Maximino Dayadante, Anthony Dolce of Outfitter Antbox, and team sponsor Ryan Roxas of David Roxas Construction.

The former PBA champion with the Santa Lucia Realtors is looking to bring that winning mentality to Manila and will be their focal point on offense.

Since getting drafted by the Coca-Cola Tigers, Yeo has become a solid scoring guard throughout his career.

He also played for the San Miguel Beermen, Air 21, Barangay Ginebra, Barako Bull, NorthPort Batang Pier, and the Meralco Bolts.

Yeo last tasted professional basketball competition in 2016 and has already retired from the PBA. Now that MPBL has already acquired its professional playing license sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB), the crafty scorer will be playing his second pro league in his storied basketball career.

The no. 3 overall pick during the 2006 PBA Rookie Draft will be backstopped by developing players Japs Pinat and Arthur Navasero.
