There was another Filipino pride who celebrated a huge victory under the Johnriel Casimero-Guillermo Rigondeaux pre-main event list.

Filipino bantamweight prospect Jonas Sultan pulled off a statement victory against Sharone Carter after knocking him out in the 2:29 mark of the seventh round.

After a two-year hiatus from the world of professional boxing, Sultan made a successful comeback and made another strong case for a potential bout against the top dogs of the division.

Sultan formerly faced current Filipino champion Jerwin Ancajas way back in 2018 in one of the most highly-anticipated super-flyweight clashes but eventually fell short via unanimous decision.

During his fight against Carter, Sultan proved that he is more than just a busy and volume puncher but he also has the ability to finish.

Sultan found the right angle in the best position then suddenly threw a barrage of punches that staggered Carter.

After a couple of seconds, Sultan fired a vicious right punch that sent the American southpaw down to the canvass and record his 15th pro win with nine knockouts.
