PBA legend Jimmy Alapag is back in the NBA fulfilling his duties as a Sacramento Kings assistant coach in the Summer League.

This is Alapag’s second stint with Sacramento, having previously manned the sidelines in 2019.

After moving to the United States with his family, Alapag bared his plans to be a coach and reiterated he would grab every opportunity he can get.

The national team’s gem last worked with the San Miguel Beermen as part of the coaching staff under head Leo Austria.

This time, Alapag will be under the tutelage of head coach and former NBA point guard Bobby Jackson in the Kings coaching staff.

Alapag will have the privilege to oversee Sacramento’s 2020 super rookie Tyrese Haliburton and newly drafted Davion Mitchell who they just signed into a contract.

The former Filipino point guard will immediately be working with the Kings and is expected to grace coach Jackson on the sidelines of the Summer League.
