BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said the inoculation of A4 category population or essential workers will start after approval by the Department of Health.
The governor said this signals the start of mass inoculation in the province
He said the provincial government started the A4 vaccination using the AstraZeneca vaccines purchased by the provincial government.
“We just hope that the national government will start distributing more vaccines to the provinces. If we are open to A4, practically, we are opening to all already,” Lacson said.
As of Aug 24, 2021, Negros Occidental has 29 new COVID- 19 cases.
