Ilonggo Artists Raise Funds for UP Visayas Students’ Online Learning Needs

The Himbon Contemporary Ilonggo Artists Group has teamed up with the UP Visayas Office of Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) for the UPV Art Fair, an online exhibition of more than 50 artworks by 20 Himbon members: Gina Apostol, El Dosado, Charmaine Española, Vic Nabor, Yob, Norman Acedera, Ningnong Acedera, Gerundio Buendia Jr., Vic Fario, Ronnie Granja, Alex Ordoyo, Daryl Dalipe, Carmelo Camohoy III, Dodjie Tan, John Ernie Acedera, Cris Barredo, Carlo Juntado, Angelo C. Sobrepeña, Sonny Tolentino, and Anthony Castillo.

Paintings, sculpture, and mixed media works are on sale in this online art event.  All works are below P15,000.  Funds raised from the UPV Art Fair will be for the benefit of the Iskompyuter Drive. The drive targets to provide for the online learning needs of UPV College students through donations of cash or used laptops, desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

The artworks, including the mechanics on how to purchase them, may be viewed at the UPV OICA facebook page. The Art Fair is also supported by the UPV Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).

Those interested in inspecting the actual artworks may visit UPV OICA at the Main Building of the Iloilo City campus, entering through the Infante Gate. Health protocols and community quarantine guidelines apply.
