One of the most consistent offensive weapons of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans has just been ruled out of the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference.

Ilongga Aduke Ogunsanya, the current middle-blocker of the Flying Titans, was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee and will not be able to help Choco Mucho in their campaign for volleyball glory in the current PVL conference.

After going up for a block during their game against the Army-Black Mamba, Ogunsanya landed awkwardly on one leg.

Ogunsanya then grabbed her right knee, shouted in pain, and had to be assisted by the Flying Titans’ trainers out of the playing court.

The former De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers became a reliable rotation member for head coach Oliver Almadro and Choco Mucho after starting the conference on a high note.

During their opening win against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, Ogunsanya filled the stat-sheet in the block department and finished with three successful rejections.

Despite their loss against the Cignal HD Spikers, Ogunsanya still displayed a stellar outing and helped Choco Mucho in both scoring and blocking.

The loss of Ogunsanya will be a huge blow to a Choco Mucho team that is currently struggling with a 1-2 record and have to win their next games to punch a ticket to the PVL playoffs.

In that same game against Army, Choco Mucho also missed the services of Kat Tolentino, Des Cheng, Chery Nunag, and Thang Ponce who were all out due to health reasons.

“Management will ensure Aduke gets the best possible medical care for her to come back stronger in due time. Let’s keep Duke in our prayers and send her our love and well wishes,” wrote the Flying Titans in their official team statement.
