Iloilo reigns supreme in 2020 WVPRISAA

After a week of highly-competitive sporting events, the province of Iloilo was hailed as the overall champions in the 2020 Regional Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) meet.

Clinching the championship trophy from almost every sport and the cultural events, Iloilo bagged a total of 541 medals, a large disparity from the second placer Negros Occidental with only 381 medals.

With 286 golds, 191 silvers, and 64 bronze medals, Iloilo’s dominant run in the WVPRISAA will be carried on by the delegates who will represent Region VI in the National PRISAA in Tuguegarao.

From basketball, football, badminton, arnis, taekwondo, dance sports, and the singing contests, the province of Iloilo flawlessly garnered the gold or placed a medal.

Second-placer Negros Occidental had a total of 130 golds, 161 silvers, and 90 bronze medals while Capiz had 56 golds, 89 silvers, and 150 bronze medals.

The province of Aklan trailed the competition with 2 golds, 2 silvers, and 48 bronze medals.
