The Iloilo Kisela Knights are looking to end their remaining scheduled game days on a high note in the ongoing 2022 Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) third conference tournament.

Iloilo will still have five more games in the elimination round that will determine their ranking for the nearing PCAP post-season playoff round.

The Kisela Knights are still one of the most consistent teams in the tournament and ended their last four matches with a 3-1 record, taking down Cagayan, Manila, and Camarines-Iriga before falling at the hands of Surigao.

To determine Iloilo’s final standing in the league’s Southern division, the Kisela Knights must handle their business first against Tacloban and Palawan today in the evening.

Both Tacloban and Palawan are eager to sweep their next set of games to clinch a seat in the year-ending PCAP playoff round.

After their doubleheader against Tacloban and Palawan, the Kisela Knights will be squaring off against CMOCA, Cebu, and PCL Pagadian.

Iloilo is currently seating at the no. 2 spot in the Southern division with 395 total points built from a 24-2 win-loss record.

Davao, one of the strongest teams in the league, is the top team in the division and is 37 points ahead of the Kisela Knights with a 26-2 record.

The Kisela Knights will still have a chance to retake the lead if they sweep all of their five matches by a wide margin of lead.

After the last day of the schedule on November 26, the PCAP organizing committee will then release the playoff bracketing schedule for both the Southern and the Northern divisions.
