Iloilo City’s wanted man nabbed in Makati City

One of Iloilo City’s most wanted persons was arrested in Makati City recently.

Jerich Alcain, 22, who hails from Muelle Loney St., City Proper, Iloilo City, was collared at a convenience store in Chino Roces Ave., Makati City.

Members of Iloilo City Police Station 1, together with operatives from ICPS5 and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), arrested the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for four counts of rape in relation to Section 5, par. (5) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).

The cases are docketed as Criminal Case Numbers 18-82441 to 18-82444.

Judge Daniel Antonio Gerardo Amular of the 6th Regional Trial Court (RTC-6), Branch 32, Iloilo City, issued the arrest warrant against Alcain on July 25, 2018.

Bail bond for his temporary liberty was set at P200,000.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Pablito, ICPS1 chief, said the complainant was 17 years old when the alleged rape happened.

Alcain fled Iloilo before the arrest warrant was issued. Police later monitored that he was working as a construction worker and stayed at Mahabang Parang Purok 7 in Angono, Rizal.

The suspect is listed as the sixth most wanted person of ICPS1. He was brought to the custodial facility of ICPS1 early morning of Sept 9.
