Iloilo City offers free vax, transpo to Panay residents

Free rides await residents of Panay Island who wish to have themselves inoculated against COVID-19 in vaccination sites in Iloilo City today, Oct 22, 2021.

This as the city government opens its mega vaccination sites to residents of Panay Island.

The city government in partnership with Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Ceres Bus Liner will also offer free rides to interested individuals from the different points in Panay.

“Iloilo City Government, in partnership with Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and Ceres Bus Liner, will offer free rides for all who want to get vaccinated in the city’s mega sites coming from different points in Panay Island on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021,” the advisory said.

Ceres buses with the “Libre Sakay” signage will ferry individuals who wish to get vaccinated to and from the city’s vaccination sites.

AstraZeneca jabs will be available in SM City and Robinsons Jaro while Sinovac vaccines will be administered in Megaworld area in Mandurriao.

The Iloilo City government has intensified its COVID-19 roll-out to include family of workers in the city and even residents from the neighboring provinces.

Recently, district health centers were also designated as vaccination sites in barangays.

Vaccination roll-out this coming Friday will start at 8 a.m. and interested individuals are advised to bring their ID, ballpen, and drinking water. (ERS)
